What are climbing socks?
Climbing socks are ultra thin performance socks designed to fit in tight climbing shoes. They give you all the benefit of sock, without hindering performance.
What are they made of?
GraceWül rock climbing socks are constructed with a merino wool blend.
How do these compare to Japanese climbing socks?
The biggest difference is fiber content. Instead of synthetic polyester based fiber, we use premium merino wool to keep clean and breathing.
We have also had many customers say GraceWüls are thinner, breather more, and maintain more sensitivity in toes than their Japanese climbing socks- all while maintaining grip.
Will these help me send my proj?
While our socks will not make you a stronger climber, they can indirectly increase perforamce in a variety of ways:
- Socks can help fill micro gaps within climbing shoes.
- They keep your feet dry to prevent slipping in shoes.
- Help lock in heels
- Natural insulation of wool keeps the warmth of your feet from heating up and altering soft climbing shoes.
Will they cure my stinky climbing shoes?
yes. absolutely.

How are they sized?
Like your climbing shoes, they should fit snug.
Find our size guide here, and when in doubt, go with the smaller size.
How should they fit?
Climbing socks should fit snug. Our unique construction creates a sock that appears tiny, but stretches and forms to the contours of your feet. Be sure to fully stretch your climbing socks on, ensuring the heel is at it's proper placement.
Do I need to size up my climbing shoes?
Nope! These are designed and constructed to fit in your regular and downsized climbing shoes.
How do I clean them?
Merino wool is antimicrobial, allowing you to go longer between washings while remaining clean and smell free.
When you are ready to give them a spa day, we suggest using a delicates laundry bag to keep them from getting lost in the wash and to prevent pilling and lint collection.
Toss them in your washing machine in warm water on normal cycle. If not using a laundry bag, turn inside out. Tumble or air dry.
Do not bleach.

When will I receive my preorder?
Preorders for our first round of rock socks will ship to you by the end of June 2026.
Can I get these at my local gym or gear shop?
